Why I Don't Eat Breakfast
It’s the eternal struggle for people around the world…How can I go out, enjoy food with my friends, but not live with guilt if I overindulge a little?
Because, if we do go out and enjoy our food and cocktails guilt free (which we should), how do we stay in shape without spending hours and hours in the gym?
For me, the answer is intermittent fasting. Intermittent fasting can be done many ways, but I choose to have a certain amount of hours per day that I consume calories, and then an amount of time each day that I don’t, or I “fast”.
This way of living has been the key to helping my stay balanced. I simply choose when I am going to stop eating in the evening, and then I am going to break my fast the next day. This allows your body burn through your quick energy sources like carbs, and move in to burning your saved energy sources like excess fat. And I am here to say, the results are awesome, and I am able to go out and enjoy food without any feeling of guilt, which is the best way to do it!
If you are considering intermittent fasting, here are a few things to keep in mind..
1. Talk to a professional and make sure this is a good option for you.
2. Start with a smaller fasting window (maybe 14-16 hours) and then work your way to a larger one over time.
3. Make sure you have support and a way to hold yourself accountable.
4. Stay consistent, you will see results!
